2. Description of Service

CSV Cleanup is a web-based tool that allows users to:

Upload CSV files for processing
Remove duplicate rows and empty cells
Normalize data formatting
Download cleaned CSV files

The Service is provided "as is" without requiring user registration or account creation.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must NOT:

Upload files containing illegal, harmful, or malicious content
Upload files containing personal data of others without proper authorization
Attempt to circumvent rate limits or security measures
Use the Service to transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
Use automated tools to abuse or overload the Service
Violate any applicable laws or regulations

4. Service Limitations

4.1 Rate Limits

To ensure fair usage and service availability, we enforce the following limits:

CSV Uploads: 10 uploads per hour per IP address
CSV Downloads: 60 downloads per minute per IP address
Contact Form: 5 submissions per hour per IP address

4.2 File Limitations

Maximum file size is 5MB
Extremely large files may result in processing timeouts
Only CSV format files are supported

4.3 Session Expiration

Uploaded files and processed data are stored temporarily and automatically deleted after:

30 minutes of inactivity

5. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

The content of files you upload to the Service
Ensuring you have the right to process and share the data in your files
Complying with data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) when uploading personal data
Creating backups of your original files before processing
Downloading processed files before session expiration

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Your Content

You retain all rights to the CSV files you upload. We do not claim ownership of your data.

6.2 Our Service

The Service, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by CSV Cleanup and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our Service without permission.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee that:

The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
Results will be accurate or reliable
All data formatting issues will be resolved
The Service will meet your specific requirements

8. Limitation of Liability

LIABILITY LIMITATION

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CSV CLEANUP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability for any claims related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service (which is currently $0, as the Service is free).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CSV Cleanup from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

Your use of the Service
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any third-party rights
Content you upload to the Service

10. Service Availability

We reserve the right to:

Modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time
Refuse service to anyone for any reason
Change these Terms with or without notice
Implement scheduled maintenance and updates

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
